Already organised at the foot of Mont Blanc

For Husqvarna, we organised a residential ski seminar in Les Houches, in the Chamonix valley: 27 participants, a meeting day, a fondue dinner, then a day of skiing, or snowshoeing on the Mer de Glace, with equipment and private transport arranged.

Courmayeur, on the Italian side

For a financial services company, we organised three days in Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley, for 23 participants: two days of skiing, lunches at altitude and a training session back at the hotel.

Skiers and non-skiers alike

In Les Houches, 18 participants skied while 8 others went snowshoeing on the Mer de Glace. In Courmayeur, non-skiers took the lifts on foot to join the skiers for lunch at altitude. Nobody is left out, whatever their level.

Corporate ski retreat in the French Alps: what we organise for you

Weevup organises your corporate ski retreat in the French Alps, in Chamonix, Megève or Courchevel, and on the Italian side of Mont Blanc in Courmayeur. We find the resort and the hotel, build a programme that balances meetings and snow, then take care of everything on site until your teams head home.

Weevup is an event agency in Paris for companies, founded in 2015 and based in Le Vésinet, west of Paris. More than 100 companies trust us, including international companies such as Husqvarna, Bio-Rad and KPMG.

We work in English, French and Spanish, and one project manager follows your ski trip from the first call to the last run.

On the chairlift, the conversation picks up where the meeting left off.

Let’s talk about your event

Corporate ski trip ideas: four formats in the snow

Moving projects forward, rewarding a team, bringing departments together or celebrating a result: on a company ski trip, the format follows your goal. These four formats combine easily over the same stay.

Residential ski retreat in a resort

  • The idea: sleep, work and dine in the same place, then split the day between the meeting room and the slopes, ideally from a hotel at the foot of the pistes.
  • Husqvarna, in Les Houches: 27 participants, four days and three nights, rooms at the Rocky Pop Hôtel and a fully equipped meeting room at the Hôtel du Bois, on the same avenue. More on Husqvarna’s ski seminar in Les Houches (case study in French).
  • For a leadership team, we also find a whole chalet, just for your group.
  • Ideal for: a team that needs to make progress on its projects without giving up the mountains.

Ski incentive to reward a team

  • The idea: the snow comes before the meetings, with days on the slopes in groups by level, an instructor or a guide, and lunch at altitude.
  • A financial services company, in Courmayeur: 23 participants, a two-day ski pass each, two instructors on the first day on the slopes and lunches at altitude, one of them in a mountain restaurant at Plan Checrouit. More on our ski seminar in Courmayeur (case study in French).
  • Shared highlights: a torchlight descent at nightfall, a team sledge race or an afternoon at the spa.
  • Ideal for: thanking a sales team after a strong year. More reward ideas on our page about the incentive trip in France.

Snow team building

  • The idea: challenges in mixed teams, where skiers and non-skiers play on equal terms: laser biathlon, igloo building, a snowshoe race or an introduction to dog sledding.
  • Mountain professionals lead each activity, at a time chosen so that it does not cut into your meetings.
  • In Les Houches, 8 of Husqvarna’s participants went snowshoeing on the Mer de Glace while the others skied, with the same picnic for everyone.
  • Ideal for: bringing together departments that rarely meet. Back in the city, see our team building activities in Paris.

Mountain evening

  • The idea: fondue or raclette in a resort restaurant, a trapper evening by headlamp, or dinner in a mountain chalet reached on foot or on snowshoes.
  • Husqvarna: a fondue dinner during its stay in Les Houches, with private transport there and back. In Courmayeur: two dinners in the resort, with Italian cooking and produce from the valley, from risotto and polenta to local charcuterie.
  • For the journey back, a shuttle waits at the restaurant door: nobody drives.
  • Ideal for: ending the day together, or celebrating a result.

A ski retreat for a company based outside France

Your teams work in London, Brussels, Amsterdam or New York and want to meet in the Alps? We take care of everything: the welcome on arrival, transfers to the resort, the hotel and the whole programme. Your project manager works in English, and we act as your local partner in France for international companies.

A typical day on a corporate ski retreat

In the morning, the hotel shuttle takes the group to the slopes. Everyone skis at their own level with an instructor or a guide, then the whole group meets for lunch on the slopes.

The afternoon is shared between the snow and a working session, before dinner. In Courmayeur, the training session started at 6 pm at the hotel, after a day of skiing. We set the timing around what matters most to you.

Which ski resort for a corporate retreat: France, Italy or Switzerland?

We compare resorts and seminar hotels for you on three points: the size of your group, the journey from your offices and everyone’s skiing level. Here are the resorts we can suggest.

In the French Alps

  • In Haute-Savoie: Chamonix and Les Houches, at the foot of Mont Blanc, as well as Megève, La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand and Avoriaz.
  • For a plenary session, Chamonix has its congress centre, Le Majestic, and Megève its Espace Congrès du Palais.
  • In Savoie: Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens, in the Three Valleys, as well as La Plagne, Les Arcs, Tignes and Val d’Isère.
  • Further south: Alpe d’Huez and Les Deux Alpes in Isère, and Serre Chevalier near Briançon.

In Italy or Switzerland

  • In Italy, Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley, is linked to Chamonix by the Mont Blanc Tunnel: we organised a three-day ski seminar there (case study in French).
  • Cervinia, below the Matterhorn, connects to the Zermatt ski area, and Kronplatz lies in the Dolomites.
  • In Switzerland: Verbier, Crans-Montana and Zermatt in the Valais, or Villars-sur-Ollon in the Vaud Alps.
  • Whatever the resort, we take care of the whole journey, depending on the time you have, through to welcoming your group at the hotel.

Hotel, ski passes, equipment: what we take care of

We find the mountain hotel with rooms for the whole group and a meeting room to match, then organise the whole stay. Here is what we prepare with you.

Before the group arrives

  • Ski passes, rental equipment in everyone’s size and instructors or guides by level: for Husqvarna, each participant’s shoe size, height and skiing level were collected before the stay.
  • The meeting room, with the screen, sound and layout that suit your format, and tables booked in mountain restaurants.
  • Our project manager on site from the day before, as in Les Houches, to check every detail.

On site, whatever the weather

  • Equipment ready on arrival: in Les Houches, rentals were waiting at the hotel’s ski shop for those not bringing their own.
  • Shuttles between the hotel, the slopes and the restaurants: in Courmayeur, the hotel shuttles took the group to the slopes each morning and to dinner in the evening.
  • A plan B for every outdoor activity, such as a team game at the hotel or a tasting of regional cheeses, and local partners who help us move a slot to suit the conditions.

A more sustainable ski retreat, if you wish

Your ski retreat can be more responsible and keep all its appeal. Our “positive notes”, marked with a heart, set out practical options: group transfers rather than individual cars, instructors, guides and restaurants from the valley, seasonal dishes and gifts from local producers. You keep the ones that suit you.

Weevup holds an EcoVadis Silver medal, which places it among the top 15% of companies assessed. Read about our CSR approach (in French).

Ski retreat or corporate retreat elsewhere in France?

The mountains in winter suit a group happy to spend time outdoors, over a stay of several days. For a seminar by the sea, in a château among the vineyards or in a large city, our page on corporate retreats in France covers other settings and regions.

A corporate ski retreat, or ski seminar, is a company seminar held in a mountain resort in winter. It brings your teams together over several days, with meetings, snow activities for every level and meals shared together.

Its purpose stays that of a seminar: working, deciding and strengthening ties away from the office. Weevup organises them in the French Alps, in Italy and in Switzerland. For Husqvarna, 27 participants spent four days in Les Houches, in the Chamonix valley.

No. At every highlight, the programme includes an activity without skis, such as snowshoeing, dog sledding, a visit or time at the spa. Skiers are grouped by level with an instructor or a guide, and beginners can take a group lesson.

In Les Houches, 8 of Husqvarna’s participants went snowshoeing on the Mer de Glace while 18 others skied. In Courmayeur, non-skiers took the lifts on foot to join everyone for lunch at altitude.

We choose it with you, on three criteria. First, the size of the group: one hotel that sleeps everyone with a meeting room to match, or several hotels close together with a shared room. Then the journey from the cities where your teams work.

Finally, the skiing level, which points towards a village resort or a large ski area. Chamonix and Megève combine skiing with village life, while Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens open up the vast Three Valleys ski area to keen skiers.

Yes. We compare hotels and chalets in Megève for your group, then organise the whole stay: the meeting room, the ski passes, the activities and the evenings. For a plenary session, Megève has its own congress venue, the Espace Congrès du Palais.

Nearby, in the Chamonix valley, we organised Husqvarna’s residential ski seminar (case study in French) for 27 participants, with a meeting day and a day in the mountains.

Yes, we organise ski retreats in Italy as in France, and we take care of everything. In Courmayeur, in the Aosta Valley, we brought together 23 participants from a financial services company for three days.

The group stayed at the Grand Hôtel Courmayeur Mont Blanc, skied for two days with lunches at altitude, and dined on Italian cooking: risotto, polenta and local charcuterie.

We adapt the length to your programme, with at least two days on site so that the snow does not take over from the meetings. Three days leave room for a full day of skiing and a working session. January and March, outside school holidays, offer the widest choice of hotels.

In Courmayeur, three days combined two days of skiing and a training session. In Les Houches, Husqvarna’s seminar ran over four days and three nights: arrival in the evening, a meeting day, a day in the mountains, then departure.

Nobody can promise snow or sunshine, so we prepare a plan B before departure. Each outdoor activity has an indoor alternative, such as a team game at the hotel or a workshop around regional cheeses, and our local partners help us move a slot to suit the conditions.

When the weather turned during a banking group’s seminar for 200 people at Pont Royal, we found a new solution for the team building with our partners, watching the forecast throughout.

We take care of everything, depending on the time you have: your group can travel by plane or by train, then we coordinate the transfers and welcome everyone on arrival. For Chamonix, Megève and Courmayeur, Geneva airport is the usual gateway.

In Les Houches, our project manager arrived the day before to prepare everything, and private transport took the group to each activity. In Athens, we welcomed 70 Bio-Rad employees arriving from some fifteen countries.

Yes, we adapt to every size of group and take on every large brief. For a large group, we look for a resort with a hotel that sleeps everyone, or several hotels close together, and a venue for the plenary session, such as Le Majestic, the congress centre in Chamonix.

For KPMG, we organised four days for 900 participants at Center Parcs du Lac d’Ailette, with a gala dinner and a dance party for everyone.
